So Much To Do, So Little Time

23 Aug
Hello everyone, long time no see!  I know its my fault,  I seemed to become MIA basically since the beginning of the year. Things in Fallonland have been pretty crazy since then and well I hate to attempt it but my pretty little Fairytale suffered because of it. Sorry if you felt a bit abandoned, please know that I still thought about all of you often!  I just simply didn’t have the energy to come home after a 12+ hr day at work and share my wishes & dreams.  Of course that most certainly doesn’t not mean that I stopped wishing and dreaming all together, that would just be pure craziness!  My wishes & dreams were still alive and kicking I just never seemed to find the moment to be able to share them. That is until now!  Things in Fallonland are still JUST as crazy, in fact maybe even more so since traveling season is picking up again. But I have vowed to try my hardest to balance work, play and my blog, because I really do love it and it really does bring me joy!  So this week, Im back! and better than ever.  I have a post lined up for you each day so stay tuned as I promise nothing short of pure fabulousness for the week ahead.  Miss Fallon is jumping back on the horse and making it all happen. So even though I have a lot of my plate at the moment… Im stacking them high and taking it one day at a time!  Honestly I thrive in this sort of madness… and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
By the way, Im so excited to be so close to having 100 followers!  I know it doesn’t sound like much, considering most blogs admire/aspire to be have 1,000 – 4,000 easily, but hey its a start.  Im just flattered that 81 people have chosen share in my Fairytale Wishes & Dreams and I just want to make them proud. If your not a follower yet but you love my blog, go ahead and click the follow button on the top left under the banner.  I promise you wont be disappointed!

p.s. The above fabulous sketch is done by one of my personal favs.. Brooke Hagel of Fabulous Doodles.  She’s is an amazing artist. Check out her blog here and etsy shop here.

Happy week ahead everyone!!!

Spring Cleaning…

19 Feb

Well the time has come for a little ‘spring cleaning’ here at Fairytale Wishes, which came about as a result of this weeks homework assignment for BYW. Since starting my blog there were so many different directions I wanted to go, that it was kind of overwhelming. Especially when I started to follow tons of fabulous blogs almost overnight and each one has a quality that you would like to incorporate, not to mention on top of all of my own ideas constantly floating around my head. I wanted a blog that focused on fashion… no wait, photography… umm scratch that, how about DIY or sketching or writing or even home decor. You see what I’m saying the possibilities are endless which is a tough thing to deal with, if like me, you have a slight case of ADHD when it comes to creative projects.
With all that said, its time to focus and get back to the main topic at hand today, spring cleaning. Over the next few days you will notice quite a few changes here on Fairytale Wishes & Dreams. So far I have reformatted my layout. I’ve always wanted a 3 column layout and thanks to this lovely and very simple tutorial found here, I was able to tweak the html code myself and create one. (yay, go me!) I also simplified my header (which is still a work in progress I just needed a place holder for now). I will also be updating my blog roll and adding an ‘about me’ section, which I will be sure to keep you posted on . As you can see a lot of exciting things are happening and many more are in the works. So please stay tuned and for the time being enjoy these super cute photos I found on flickr via the extremely talented Agnieszka’s photo stream. Be sure to check out her other photos, they truly are stunning!
Oh, and by the way… as all of these changes begin to happen please don’t be to shy to share your thoughts with me. I would love to know what you all think =)
Sweet dreams
p.s. I almost forgot to mention, I also added a first reaction gadget at the end of each post. Please check it out and let me know how you like it!

Craft Closet Envy!!!

14 Aug

Illustration Pre-Plans:

Final Project:

Craft Closet

One word…STUNNING! I’m so behind on my Google reader, but was extremely glad I signed on for a moment today and came across the completion of Levy’s craft closet. Levy the fabulous University student behind A Field Journal is always a constant source of inspiration. I remember a while back when she presented us with her sketch’s of the Craft Closet that she was working on and how I was instantly intrigued, her illustrations were gorgeous! (click here to see more) My favorite part of the whole project is the way Levy showed the process from sketch to completion as well as the way she presented her pictures using a collage technique (even her breakdown looks fabulous). Now that the finally project has been reveled I am 100% impressed. Levy’s sketches were dead on, which I’m sure is so exciting to see plans come to life and honestly I’m a little jealous… I want a craft room like this! Currently I have a room that I like to call “my design studio” although if it looked more like this, I might actually get more designing done there. Now all I have to do is sketch out the plans and get to work. The possibilities are endless
