Spring Cleaning…

19 Feb

Well the time has come for a little ‘spring cleaning’ here at Fairytale Wishes, which came about as a result of this weeks homework assignment for BYW. Since starting my blog there were so many different directions I wanted to go, that it was kind of overwhelming. Especially when I started to follow tons of fabulous blogs almost overnight and each one has a quality that you would like to incorporate, not to mention on top of all of my own ideas constantly floating around my head. I wanted a blog that focused on fashion… no wait, photography… umm scratch that, how about DIY or sketching or writing or even home decor. You see what I’m saying the possibilities are endless which is a tough thing to deal with, if like me, you have a slight case of ADHD when it comes to creative projects.
With all that said, its time to focus and get back to the main topic at hand today, spring cleaning. Over the next few days you will notice quite a few changes here on Fairytale Wishes & Dreams. So far I have reformatted my layout. I’ve always wanted a 3 column layout and thanks to this lovely and very simple tutorial found here, I was able to tweak the html code myself and create one. (yay, go me!) I also simplified my header (which is still a work in progress I just needed a place holder for now). I will also be updating my blog roll and adding an ‘about me’ section, which I will be sure to keep you posted on . As you can see a lot of exciting things are happening and many more are in the works. So please stay tuned and for the time being enjoy these super cute photos I found on flickr via the extremely talented Agnieszka’s photo stream. Be sure to check out her other photos, they truly are stunning!
Oh, and by the way… as all of these changes begin to happen please don’t be to shy to share your thoughts with me. I would love to know what you all think =)
Sweet dreams
p.s. I almost forgot to mention, I also added a first reaction gadget at the end of each post. Please check it out and let me know how you like it!

The Blooming Flowers

The perfect flower to represent the awesomeness that is Spring, right on the verge to explode after a long cold winter… Believe me, I’m counting down the days here in NYC. But until then, I will have to just sit back and enjoy this gloomy, Sunday Afternoon!

Romantic Wrappings

In my opinion, there is something so romantic about fresh flowers wrapped in newspaper. I know its something so simple but I feel the newspaper gives the flowers a bit of understated elegance. I makes me think of Paris in the Spring time… Strolling through the local farmers market hand in hand with the one you love, picking out your Sunday flowers after enjoy a lovely morning at the cafe, sipping on a latte and noshing on a baguette. Now that’s romantic!

The Path To Somewhere

21 Dec

Feeling too much
Just another girl
Who fell for your touch
When I’m with you I forget
All who where there before
There’s a sparkle in your eyes
That’s hard to ignore
Yet as I look deeper I see
The darkness and the pain
Of a man without a clue
Of how to stop the rain
Two clearly different paths
Placed in front of you
Either one will change your life
No idea which one to choose
Emotions taking over
The moment is fading away
Hold tight and listen close…
To what your heart has to say

Magical Situation

Collarbone kisses
Just like the middle of July
A heart that truly listens
Stars up in the sky
Hiding beneath the covers
Trying to subside
This feeling fully consuming
My mind, my heart,
On an emotional ride
Sinking fast…
No chance of being saved
Looking out for only myself
But its you that I crave
Timing can bring harm
to even the most magical situation
Yet amongst the chaotic mess…
Love is God’s shinning creation
